Engel Canada Inc’s operation in Guelph, Ontario manufactures injection molding equipment for the plastics industry. The company’s management team had identified the need to implement a sustainable company-wide continuous improvement program that would enable them to improve productivity and quality to meet their business objectives.

Engel’s entire management team attended SatiStar’s CI workshop, and two initial CI projects were initiated, with SatiStar providing facilitation support. SatiStar also facilitated the management team’s design of a company-wide continuous improvement program. It was important that the program be consistent with the company’s culture, enhanced management teamwork and was sustainable over the long term.

The entire program paid for itself within the first 2 months of implementation.
